Dear fellow Plaid member,
I’m very grateful for all the support at the hustings in Aberaeron – it was a privilege to be on stage and to celebrate our democratic values.
As I said in the hustings, Wales is on a journey to our national freedom. Together, our role is to build the resilience and capacity of our communities along that journey, working to:
- halt depopulation – by tackling the housing crisis, investing in infrastructure, and ensuring that Wales is the best nation to raise a family in and for young people to live in;
- ensuring that we have a solid supply of local food through our exceptionally enterprising and hardworking farmers;
- withstanding the inevitable challenges of climate change – with sustainable energy in the hands of the community and protecting our seaside towns and villages;
- investing in our cultural institutions;
- retain and strengthen our services – our surgeries, dental practises, hospitals, care homes and schools.
Labour knows they are going to lose the election – almost half of their members are standing down – and good riddance to them, I say.
The choice in the elections next year will be between a Plaid Cymru-led government or one led by Reform.
The dark forces of the extreme right wing are on the rise across Europe and beyond, we cannot rest on our laurels. We have to be at our best to beat them.
Remember that you must attend the hustings to vote in Plaid’s candidate selection meetings:
– 19:30, Monday 28 April, online
– 19:30, Thursday 1 May, HaverHub, The Old Post Office, 12 Quay St, Haverfordwest, SA61 1BG

Guarantee of a woman in 1st and 3rd
With Plaid’s selection system, there is a guarantee that a woman will be at the top of the list in our new constituency, Ceredigion Pembroke. A place is also guaranteed for a woman in third place on the list.
Therefore, I am asking you to vote for me as number 1 in order to come second on our list, which is an open seat.
We can win 3 seats in this constituency, and if you want me to be one of them, I need to come second.
We are very lucky to have such strong representatives in Ben and Elin, and my aim is to join that brilliant team.
